We all exist within broader systems of societal, familial, political and cultural realms. With so many layers of influence and pressures impacting our relationships and lives, we are bound to experience struggles, conflict and distress. You are not alone in feeling overwhelmed, and seeking support is a strength! I welcome you with warmth and understanding and offer non-judgmental, modern counseling, rooted in compassion and collaboration. Healing unfolds through connection and trust, and together we can uncover new pathways to your joy, emotional well-being, and a deeper sense of security in your life and relationships.
As an inclusive and culturally responsive therapist, I provide counseling from a trauma-informed, liberatory perspective, celebrating the full diversity of identities and relationship structures for LGBTQIA2S+ clients and heterosexual relationships alike! My therapeutic approach centers your unique story and lived experiences while considering how the nervous system shapes feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, each of which profoundly influences how we come to know ourselves and connect with others. I hold a Master of Science in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling, with training in both EFT and the Gottman Method, two well-researched, highly effective approaches to healing. I can work with people who are Oregon residents.
A little about me: I am a biracial, Chicana Gen Xer, as well as a parent, spouse, survivor, musician and artist with a soft spot for satirical comedy and spooky movies! In my free time you might find me making pottery, gathering with family and friends, doing ancestor work, playing bass in the band, or immersing myself in the mysteries and beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Nature has always been one of my greatest teachers and deepest sources of connection, and I strive to live in daily gratitude for that relationship. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect or learn more!
